Yes!
Nice atmosphere, but food could have been better. Appetisers were basic and overpriced. Pasta was well cooked, but rigatoni vodka was cold on the outside and steaming on the inside, hinting at use of a microwave. Bolognese was nice but a little salty. With all the options on Mulberry, I wouldn’t hurry back.
Really wonderful food, and excellent service. I had the lasagna, and I forgot how amazing just that simple dish can be in the right hands
If you like to eat Great Italian food then Da Gennoaro is restaurants have to try. The food is so fresh and tasty. I always look forward to eating there, the service is great to. Also the atmosphere makes you feel like your in Italy. I go every year during the San Gennaro Feast. So if you have a chance stop in and enjoy!!
Decent food and service. Great location. Perhaps a bit of a tourist trap, too. I've certainly had better Italian food. Went with a large group and tried several different appetizers and entrees. Mostly decent. Nothing great. The Frutti di Mare was terrible though. Mostly rubbery squid. The few clams in the dish were the saltiest clams I've ever eaten. Mussels weren't good.
Very nice Italian food! I strongly recommend.
Great food and deserts. Taste fantastic, we tasted salmon and 2 dishes with chicken. Strongly recommend!
We were walking around looking for a place to have last minute lunch at since we didn't reserve anywhere beforehand, and Da Gennaro's managed to get us a table. The pizzas were delicious, thin crusted and toppings were flavorful. Also had their stuffed ravioli and portobello mushrooms as appetizers. They were mouth watering! Overall a nice Italian dining experience.
This is a good authentic Italian restaurant,.. The seafood dishes here are fresh and superb. The service here was also wonderful. I definitely recommend this restaurant and will be coming back.
The place was full at 5pm, it was the restaurant with the most amount of people compared to the rest of the street which we thought was a good sign and we were not disappointed. The food and service was brilliant. The perfect little Italy new York experience we were looking for!
Great ambience and excellent staff. Our server, Bayza was so attentive and friendly. We were seated quickly and despite a small space they accommodated the wait quickly. The food was delicious and drinks were great too. My first time but I would definitely return.
One of the best dinner places in Little Italy!Ambience - Rustic and strategically located at the corner of the street.Food - Everything is safe to order without being disappointed! Authentic flavors. Gnocchi Al Pesto and Eggplant were delicious!Service - great staff!
Great Italian vibes in this corner restaurant. The food was very fresh and delicious! I ordered the bruschetta and it was delicious even though it was a little pricy.
So happy I stopped here. Food was amazing but the atmosphere and staff make it even better. Friendly, attentive, and willing to share their knowledge with you. Highly recommend!
Was staying in an Airbnb in the area so we searched for Italian and the was one of the places that came up. It's in the heart of Little Italy. Wow! Food was awesome! Everyone enjoyed their food. I had the lasagna. I'm used to eating a slice from a pan but this individual serving was great. There was a lot of meat and sauce. The cheese was just right. It was well decorated. While it may have been tight it didn't feel like it. Our waiter was awesome. He answered questions about the dishes and didn't rush is to choose. Friendly and easy to talk to. If I lived in New York I definitely would go back. I would recommend Da Gennaro to anyone visiting and living in New York. You won't be disappointed.
Everytime we visit NYC we make it a point to go to Da Gennaro. Food is fantastic and fresh . Service Excellent. Thanks for a great meal. See you again.
First time at this place. I ordered the soup of the day (seafood) and came with onion on top. I don't like onions. But put the onions aside I enjoyed the soup. I'll be back.
A quick stop before heading off for an I greasy event while visiting Brooklyn. Staff were pretty attentive and food was good.
We were a very large party that just decided to try doing a walk-in because it was wet and our plans had changed a bit. Despite the challenge that can pose to any restaurant, the staff at Da Gennaro were really excellent at accommodating us and incredibly professional. Our food was prompt and correct, and everyone had a great time.
Loved the vibe, outdoor seating, and string lights! However, service was very slow and food was just okay. We got the pesto gnocchi, minestrone soup (so salty), calamari and bruschetta.
Friendly staff. Like all Little Italy pizza, skip it. It is not NYC pizza, more like frozen. I gave it a shot, only to be disappointed again.Other stuff seem ok. You are here because it is Little Italy, not for cuisine.
We have our annual Christmas dinner with no less than 15 people and they always are able to accommodate. Seating is a little bit tight, but its worth it when they start rolling out the food. Everything was delicious and our waitress was a real pro! Nothing was forgotten and nothing had to go back to the kitchen. The wine flowed, the food was excellent and the atmosphere ,as always...perfect.
This is the place I remember most out little Italy. Small quaint, dimly lite, bustling amazing food and deserts and some awesome bread dipping oil with great fresh herbs. The twinkling lights and savory smells the great service what more can you ask for. Wait you haven’t eaten here and you live in nyc what are you waiting for...
We visited this place three times on our last long trip to NYC because I can never get enough of the food here! Definitely the best in little Italy and possibly all of New York. See you all again soon!
Great restaurant! Food was good, but too salty. I did not like the bread. Excellent service. Nobody was out there to pressure is to come in. But after we were seated, I did see someone hanging around outside so maybe they do have their salespeople outside. I would go again!
Excellent food, intimate atmosphere, attentive waiters. And best of all, they let the Santa band come in and play during the Xmas season. A very festive experience.
Very pricey, I paid $17 dollars for 4 raviolis, but it was good. Bread would of been nice to have while we wait for food. Restaurant is very cute
Food is great. Service was fantastic. Will definitely recommend to all.
Excellent place to eat and enjoy fine Italian food. Staff is superb. I highly recommend this place. I can't wait to enjoy a meal there again.
Amazing staff, amazing food and drinks, amazing atmosphere!!! Must go to restaurant in the Heart of a Little Italy! Try the beet, arugula and feta salad. Delicious 😋
Loved the food and the service was spot on. My family and I had a wonderful lunch at this restaurant and one of my family members made a comment about how the food tasted like how he was back home in Italy or having a home cooked meal. You can’t go wrong with that! I had the lasagne and the portion was just right for one person. Absolutely fantastic place.
Delicious and good service! Not too expensive. And super cute outside seating. I had the rigatoni vodka
It's in the heart of Little Italy near SoHo.Place is nice, but you don't have a lot of space between tables. We ordered a Minestrone Soup (which is very big) and the Lobster Ravioli to share. Food is good and tastes like home.Service is good, waiters are very kind, specially the ukranian one.
Great food with a great ambience. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Nice true Italian restaurant in the heart of Little Italy. This was a great find and I would definitely go back. Highly recommend!
Great Italian food. We had the salumi pizza. It was great. The Cesar salad with chicken was also quite good. Service was very good if a little stuffy. The entire place was open to the outside and quite comfortable. The high temperature today was 74.
We had a wonderful dinner last night. Service was impeccable!!We surely will return when we're back to NYC.
Great seafood pasta and that's coming from someone just off the Queensland coast! The steak was a but meh but over all a lovely place for dinner
When in little Italy, no dumplings today...... gnocchi with pesto and i had bowtie & sausage with garlic, broccoli rabe .....so delicious and tasty.... cozy place, staff and service was great.... the cappuccino hit the spot to end a nice lunch...#meecheatsny #dagennarorestaurant #littleitalyeats#mulberrysteats
In such a touristic place it is hard to find something genuine and not excessively overpriced. The pizas were fairly good at De Gennaro and really big for one person too, the service was attentive so it suited the purpose of a quick meal at a late time of the afternoon (3pm)
Great hospitality! The food was super but couldn’t really finish because it was so much! So if you’re hungry you’re in the right place!
Very nice! Food was great with good selection. Well worth the money. Staff were great. Checked on you throughout your visit and made sure you tended to
A cute place to sit outside and people watch and have a great plate of pasta. While it’s a bit on the pricey side, the plates or a healthy serving. Waiters are courteous, but not pushy.
5/5. Simple loved it. Great people, great food, great wine, great location. We were seated quickly; the staff was attentive and held a pleasant conversation. Food arrived quickly and was outstanding. Overall was a wonderful experience and would HIGHLY recommend to anyone.
3rd time in this place never disappointed!Good music , good food .. and really good cocktails!!But it’s not nice that they don’t serve bread ... and very disappointed that my young lady wallery was not there anymore , she was one of the reason if me and my wife decide to stop by ....Very good restaurant I highly recommend.
One of the best in Little Italy. Located at the original location of Umbertos Clam House. Me and my wife had some of the best grilled octapus we ever had.
What an awesome restaurant. Food is out of this world. Treat yourself to great experience.
